Prospective Undergraduate Students

Undergraduate Research Opportunities

Working as an undergraduate research assistant (RA) can give you valuable experience in child mental health research. It might also give you insight into your own interests and looks great on a resume for medical school or graduate school in psychology, social work, counseling and related fields. Additionally, as an undergraduate RA in the LEAP lab, you can receive course credit through the Family & Human Services program or the Psychology department. Undergraduate RAs are asked to dedicate 5-10 hours weekly to the lab for the course of one academic year.

Undergraduate positions are currently available for Fall 2024 and Spring 2025! If you are interested in working as an undergraduate RA, please register for the FSH 401: Research course or for the PSY 401: Research course, and select the LEAP Lab. The LEAP Lab is also a happy host to undergraduate students looking to gain research experience and/or to fulfill research volunteer hours!
